Why You’ll Love This Recipe
- Flavor and ease: Slow-cooking pork chops ensures they’re incredibly tender and flavorful. The gravy becomes rich and savory with almost no effort at all, creating a delicious, comforting meal.
- Versatility: These pork chops pair so well with a variety of sides, such as mashed potatoes, rice, or veggies. The ingredients are also very easy to adjust for dietary preferences, such as using low-sodium broth or gluten-free flour to make the gravy.
- Classic, cozy meal: Crockpot pork chops with gravy are a nostalgic family favorite that brings everyone together for a cozy dinner, with all the flavors of a classic home-cooked meal.
Ingredients
- Bone-in pork chops – The bone helps keep the pork juicy and tender. You can use boneless pork chops but you will want to reduce the cooking time by about 30 minutes.
- Salt and pepper
- Garlic powder
- Onion powder
- Cream of mushroom soup – Any brand will work well, but I always love classic Campbell’s soup.
- Ranch seasoning mix
- Chicken broth – I like to use low-sodium chicken broth just to cut back on the salt.
- Sour cream – This is optional but definitely gives the gravy a strong, delicious taste that is bright and bold.
- Parsley

Step 2. Season the pork chops with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.

Step 3. In a small bowl, whisk together the cream of mushroom soup, ranch seasoning, chicken broth, and sour cream.

Step 4. Place the seasoned pork chops in the slow cooker.

Step 5. Pour the soup mixture over the pork chops in the slow cooker.

Step 6. Cover and cook the pork chops on love for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.

Step 7. Thicken the gravy by removing the cooked pork chops and whisking a tablespoon of cornstarch into the sauce inside the slow cooker bowl. Cover and cook the sauce on high for another 15 minutes.

Step 7. Serve the pork chops and gravy while warm with some fresh parsley.

Variations
- Smothered Pork Chops: Add caramelized onions and mushrooms on top before cooking.
- Spicy Kick: Add a pinch of red pepper flakes or a splash of hot sauce to the soup mixture.
- Herb-Infused: Add fresh rosemary or thyme sprigs to the crockpot for extra aroma.
Tips for Success
- For a lighter version, use cream of chicken soup instead of cream of mushroom soup.
- You can add sliced mushrooms or onions to the crockpot for additional flavor.
- Flip the pork chops halfway through the cooking process to make sure the meat is evenly flavored.

Serving Suggestions
- Mashed potatoes or cheesy cauliflower casserole for a classic pairing.
- Steamed green beans or roasted broccoli for a fresh veggie side.
- Warm dinner rolls or crusty bread to scoop up the creamy gravy.
Storage + Reheating
To Store: Let the pork chops and gravy cool completely. Transfer them to an airtight container and store in the refrigerator for up to 3–4 days.
To Freeze: Place the cooled crockpot pork chops and gravy in a freezer-safe container or zip-top bag. Freeze for up to 3 months. To prevent freezer burn, ensure the container is tightly sealed and labeled with the date so you know exactly when you made it and how old it is.
To Reheat: Thaw frozen pork chops and gravy in the refrigerator overnight. Reheat on the stovetop over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally, until heated through. You can also microwave the pork chops and gravy in a covered dish in 1-minute intervals, stirring in between, until warmed to your liking.

It’s the ranch seasoning that did it for me- I never knew that ranch plus cream of mushroom soup plus pork chops would be so delicious. I’ll probably end up making this atleast once a week because I keep thinking about these pork chops again and again. Delicious!
