This No-Bake Oreo Dessert is a quick and easy no-bake dessert you're gonna love!  This chocolate dessert is made up of pudding, cream cheese, cool whip, and Oreos, of course.

Ingredients

See the recipe card below this post for ingredient quantities and full instructions.

  • Oreos
  • Butter
  • Cream cheese – softened.
  • Instant vanilla instant pudding – do not make the pudding AND use the milk below. Only add the 3 cups in these directions.
  • Cool Whip
  • Milk – Some people have had trouble with this setting up – I have not. I’ve used skim, 2% and whole milk. I believe that WHOLE MILK is best.
  • Sugar

How-To Make Oreo Dessert:

1. Crush Oreos: In a 9×13 pan crush the Oreos, saving a few for topping later. Pour melted butter over crushed Oreos.

2. Mix: In a large bowl, mix together with a mixer – instant pudding & milk until thickened. Then add the cream cheese and sugar – mix well.

3. Add Cool Whip: Fold Cool Whip into the pudding mixture and spread over Oreos.

4. Add Topping And Chill: Sprinkle remaining crushed Oreos on top. Chill for 2-3 hours before serving.

Tips for Success

  • I made this batch with Double Stuffed Oreos, but you could really use any flavor of Oreo you’d like, along with changing up the pudding used, as well! Next time, I’m going with Mint Oreos!
  • Do NOT follow the directions on the box of pudding and add in the milk from the box. Only add in the milk from the recipe below.
  • Be sure to chill for several hours before eating. While it’s delicious as soon as it’s made, it’s even better when it has time to sit.

    1. Kasey says:

Wow! I have no idea why it wouldn’t work if you added both the puddings and kept the rest the same. I just made it and it was perfect. I used whole milk – did you? I know skin is watery and even the pudding package says it’s not recommended. Just a thought! So sorry it didn’t work for you!

      1. Luci says:

        So cool

      2. Luci says:

      3. Lynn says:

Looks great can you use almond milk or soy ?

      4. Kasey says:

I’m not sure it will set up right. Maybe try it by just making pudding with it first and seeing how it will do. Then if it works, make the whole dessert. 🙂

      5. Ashley says:

I have tried almond milk and it wont set.

I just made this a followed the directions using a small pkg. of instant pudding. I just cut the milk to 2 1/2 Cups. It was runny and never did set. I used 2% milk. Made many different recipes like this before and never had a problem using 2% milk. By the amount of comments I’ve read of people having the same problem, I think the amounts listed is incorrect. Maybe the large pkg of pudding or just less milk might make it work.

      7. Katie says:

I made this tonight and I read a lot of your comments before making it. I followed the directions but I used a small box of pudding and 1 cup of 2% milk and I’m 99.9% sure it worked. I checked it after an hour of chilling and it was firm. I’m excited to try it tomorrow.

      8. Katie says:

Ok as I posted before I made this with a small box of pudding and 1 cup of 2% milk and I kept everything else the same. It worked! Turned out perfectly and everyone loved it! There was none left.

    2. Victoria DeMaio says:

      Did you use INSTANT pudding?
The kind you cook would not work with this recipe.
Try it again, it’s worth it!
