Pin RecipeA Summer Classic Made (A Lot) Easier
Peaches are here for a good time, not a long time. And that fleeting time when peaches are in season is primetime for summer. You’re vacationing, you’re spending time at the beach, and you’re probably not baking. Solution? This peach cobbler with cake mix!
It’s flavorful, sweet, and uses ingredients you probably already have in your kitchen. And you won’t believe how easy it is to whip up! It’s a little bit like a dump cake in that the juice from the peaches, along with butter, moisten the cake batter.

My Best Tips for a Perfect Peach Cobbler
When you make peach cobbler with cake mix, you know it’s going to be EASY. But here are a few additional tips to make sure it turns out perfect.
- Serve it with ice cream. Whipped cream is also good with this recipe, but when you serve peach cobbler warm with scoops of vanilla ice cream it takes it over the top.
- Adjust the baking dish side if needed. Don’t have a 9×13 pan? Read this: Baking Dish and Casserole Conversion Guide
- Resist the temptation to stir. You do not want to stir together the ingredients in the pan. However, if you see a large dry spot of cake mix, tap it with a fork so it sinks into the peach liquid and becomes moist.

Variations
- Use white cake mix. A box of white cake mix is also great in this recipe! Just choose your favorite brand and use it in place of the yellow cake mix in the recipe.
- Try different fruit. Use 2 cans of sliced pears in place of the peaches to make a pear cobbler.
- Use a fruit filling mix. Use cans of fruit pie filling mix, like cherry pie filling, instead of the canned peaches. Apple pie filling works too!

How to Store
Store the cobbler in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days. You can eat it cold from the fridge or gently reheat in the oven or microwave.

Peach Cobbler with Cake Mix
Ingredients
- 1 box 1 box (15.25 oz) yellow cake mix
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- ½ cup salted butter, melted
- 2 cans (15 oz) sliced peaches with juices
- Whipped cream
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350℉.
- Open the cans of peaches and pour them into a 9×13 baking dish. You want all the juice in the cans, as well as the sliced peaches. Pour it all in! Spread the peaches in the bottom of the pan so that they are somewhat evenly distributed.
- Sprinkle the dry cake mix over the peaches in the baking dish. Try to sprinkle the cake mix evenly over the entire dish.
- Sprinkle the cinnamon evenly over the cake mix.
- Pour the melted butter over the cake mix, once again pouring it as evenly as possible over the whole dish.
- You do not want to mix the ingredients in the pan. However, if you see a large dry spot of cake mix, tap it with a fork so it sinks into the peach liquid and becomes moist.
- Bake the cobbler for about 25 minutes. The top of the cobbler will be a golden brown color and it will be bubbling around the edges.
- Scoop onto plates and top with whipped cream then enjoy!
