Mini Waffle Recipe

These mini waffles are a bite-sized treat that is super fluffy, moist, and perfect for breakfast. Plus, they couldn't be easier to make!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 Tablespoon baking powder
  • 2 Tablespoons sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups whole milk
  • 1 Tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup melted butter

Instructions

  • Plug in your mini waffle maker and turn it on to preheat.
  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.

  • Add the eggs, milk, and vanilla to the bowl and whisk again.
    2 eggs, 1 1/2 cups whole milk, 1 Tablespoon vanilla extract
  • Add the melted butter and whisk quickly.
    1/3 cup melted butter
  • Let the batter sit for 5 minutes to thicken.
  • Open your hot waffle iron and add two tablespoons of batter to the center. Close the waffle iron and cook according to the waffle iron directions (most take about 3-5 minutes.
  • Open the waffle iron and remove the cooked mini waffle. It should be completely golden brown.
  • Cook the remaining batter and enjoy the waffles while hot!

Notes

  • If you do not have a mini waffle iron, use a regular waffle iron, but still add only two tablespoons of batter to the center or the waffle iron. The waffles will still be nice and small but with rough edges. 
  • Some waffle irons need to be sprayed with baking spray while others have non-stick plates. Check your waffle iron to see if you need to grease the hot waffle iron plates before adding the batter. 
  • Keep the cooked waffles in a 150-degree oven to keep them warm while you cook the batter. Then, you can serve all the mini waffles at once!
